Dr. Elena Grigorenko is a music educator, critic, and writer. Born in Kiev, she studied at Tchaikovsky Kiev Conservatory (now National Music Academy of Ukraine) and later at New York University. While in Kiev she worked as Artistic Director of Kiev's main philharmonic hall – Lysenko Philharmonic Hall. Ms. Grigorenko resides in New York, working in the fields of recording industry, music research, education, and writing. She is a member of the American Musicological Society and the author of the book John Cage Creation, a monograph about the 20th-century American composer.
Len Sluetsky is a bassist and manager. Born in Kiev, he worked with the National Symphony Orchestra of Ukraine and then as Principal Double Bass of the Kiev Chamber Orchestra. He currently resides in Long Island, New York, working as a double bassist and Professor of Double Bass at Adelphi University. He has performed at such venues as Carnegie Hall, Merkin Hall, Alice Tully Hall and Kennedy Center with many orchestras and ensembles. In addition he has become a successful art and music therapy administrator. In 2008 he was included in the Metropolitan Who's Who Registry for outstanding achievements in his profession.
