Participants of the Conducting Workshop
11 day long course focusing on classical and romantic selections from standart operatic and song literature in preparation for 3 public performances: 2 with the Kyiv Municipal Academic Opera and Ballet Theter Orchestra and 1 Recital concert.
Group and individual voice lessons and coaching daily, 6 symphony orchestra rehearsals with faculty and conductors, participants of the Conducting Workshop, one-on-one singer-conductor pairing sessions, round table and panel discussions between all the participants, faculty and guests.
The course will include vocal techniques, conducting techniques and performances with a symphony orchestra and a pianist, text and role analysis, interpretation, stage presence, self management and career development.
The course will be held in English, secondary in German, Italian, Russian and Ukrainian.
Only 11 singers will be accepted to the program
All the participants will receive a video copy of their concert performances
TRAINING SESSIONS, REHEARSALS AND DISCUSSIONS
Active participants choose a role, any 2-3 Arias and/or scenes form the Repertoire list , which they are required to study and prepare in advance. The selected arias will be performed at the concerts with the symphiony orchestra. Please bring the piano accompaniment.
In addition to required repertoire, each participant is to bring 2-3 arias or art songs of his/her own choice with the piano accompaniment to perform at the recital concert.
There will be individual and group sessions with piano daily and 6 symphony orchestra rehearsals in preparation for the Participants' 2 concerts with the symphony orchestra. Every singer will work with the conductors, participants of the Conducting Workshop. Several individual practice rooms with pianos will be available.
All the concerts will be video recorded. We encourage you to bring your recording devices and/or SD cards.
Auditors will observe all sessions and rehearsals.

CONCERTS
As a part of the workshop there will be 3 Public Concerts: on -TBD- ( Recital ), on (TBD) and (TBD), 2022 with the Kyiv Municipal Academic Opera and Ballet Theater Orchestra at the Saint Sophia Cathedral stage.
Each Active Participant is guaranteed a solo appearnace at all 3 concerts

Please submit your video directly to LSMUZIC@GMAIL.COM in case of any problems uploading your video on the application form. Upon notification of acceptance, a tuition payment must be made by June 1, 2022. There is an option to pay a half of the tuition ( $800.00 ) by June 1, and the other half ( $800 ) on the day of registration in Kyiv, Ukraine
